City Space is the name given to the University's new sports hall and student service centre at the Chester Road campus.

The address of the facility is at Chester Road, Sunderland, SR1 3SD, and by following this link you should be taken to a new page with an aerial location plan. If you follow the City Space link above you should get a good idea of the location and facility.

For those that know the area, the facility is on Chester Road, about 500m west of Crowtree Leisure centre. Parking is quite restricted in the immediate area, although there is a pay on exit car park within 500m (signed 'The Bridges'). There is some pay and display parking beside the venue, but be careful as this is restricted at certain times.

There is a Metro Station within easy walking distance of the facility, cleverly called 'University', which is one stop after 'Park Lane'.
